A Story in the Making

A lot of you have been asking about the status of the future Inn at Kirkside, and we figured it was time for a little update.

While things may appear to be standing still from the outside, we promise there’s been plenty happening behind the scenes (and behind the walls).

The truth is, bringing an old building back to life takes time, patience, and a whole lot of planning. And if there’s one thing we’re committed to, it’s doing this the right way.

So, where are we?

The interior deconstruction phase is officially complete! We’ve spent months carefully peeling back the layers, uncovering bits of history, and getting to know this old building from the inside out.

Our construction drawings are nearly finalized, and next up is sending the project out to bid. Meanwhile, construction on the cottage is already well underway!

So while Kirkside may look like it’s taking a little nap from the street, we assure you, the wheels are very much turning.

The Inn at Kirkside is moving full steam ahead. We’re taking our time where it matters, preserving what makes this place special, and laying the groundwork for something truly wonderful.

We’re always happy to chat about the project, so if you’re curious, have questions, or just want to know more, please don’t hesitate to email us. We’d love to share more of what we’re dreaming up.

And stay tuned. There’s so much more to come.

Construction Drawings and Bidding Docs are targeted to be complete by late November 2026. As we continue to raise additional funds, we can plan to go out to bid for the Main Floor construction and continue through project completion.
